Stay tuned!

Trip Day - Saturday, August 7th 0600-69F/64F.  50% solar...may make it!  Cloudy and calm. Making coffee cake (large muffins) in my stove top oven, to enjoy with coffee.  Good day for baking.  For now I plan to layover one day. 0830-Enjoyed the hot fresh coffee cake, with lots of butter. Studied my Bible, read from the tome on the Christian background of our Constitution, with prayer after. 0913-70F/66F.  47% solar (15 watts).  I will make a breakfast of blueberry pancakes, bacon, with OJ. 1008-72F/68F.  Finished breakfast and now have a bunch of dishes to wash!  I think I will wait a while. Trip Day - Friday, August 6th 0500-Up early! I have to move the boat because it's pounding on the rocks.  Wind started up in the middle of the night.  I heard a little rain, and after that, the wave action began to cause the boat to beat against the rocks, so I got very little sleep.  I need to move as soon as possible. 0707-It was too dark to navigate safely at 5, so I had some OJ, made coffee, and tried to read my Bible until first light, but I couldn't take the pounding noise, so I began to pull the lines with marginal light.  I finished my coffee enroute.  It was spitting rain as I anchored.  Grey, low clouds. Travel distance was only 1.9 nm averaging 6.3 kts. 0739-Finished breakfast.  May try to catch up on lost sleep.  Much more peaceful at anchor than pounding on rocks! 0855-Read my book "The Goodnight Trail" trying to get tired enough to sleep, but simply couldn't nod off.  I will catch up on my Bible study time to see if that will he...

Trip 1, Day 10, Leg 10

Trip Day:   Thursday, August 5th 0535-70F/70F.  Pretty warm for this hour, 67F yesterday, but it is cloudy! 0736-Actually cooled a bit, will make breakfast and then head out.  Solar is at 42%. 0756-70F/71F.  Sun is shining through the clouds.  Was finishing breakfast of shredded wheat with strawberries and toast with peanut butter when a fishing boat came roaring into the bay!  Always a high point!  I soon departed my spot and headed out to the falls on the south end of Junction Bay. Tied Up At The Falls (Click to Enlarge) 0900-Stopped briefly at the falls.  Took a bunch of pics and video.  The current made it difficult to tie up and depart.  I had to jump back and forth from untying on land to jumping back aboard to realign the motor to  maintain some type of balance.  Very difficult in the whirling current and steep slope to the lines!  Nevertheless, got away okay and headed out for the next boat site.
