Trip 1, Day 13, Leg 13

Trip Day - Sunday, August 8th (Birthday)

0608-64F/61. Cloudy and cool again.  Solar 46%.

0831-70F/65F.  Still cloudy and cool. Finished reading, study, prayer. Had breakfast of granola with toast and peanut butter.  Getting ready to move out.

1010-Tied up at another unmarked beach.  Rocky bottom with sand mix.  Still cloudy but warm.  68F/67F.  Leg 13 today was 7.5 nm with an average of 7.1 kts.

1105-Did a walk of the site and will follow up with a video later.  Returned to the boat to wash dishes for the day.  I usually do this just after I arrive at the new site.  Once a day I find adequate.  I will trim my beard as I am getting to look a bit rough after two weeks!

1127-Beard nicely trimmed, so I look civilized again!  72F/74F.  May have some lunch.  Fishing boats race back and forth no matter where I go.  Where they are actually going, or what they are doing, is a mystery.  I have yet to see anyone catch an actual fish in two weeks!

Three or four boats went west.  Later they all came back? One flying a big blue flag, which I couldn't read.  There is a resort not far from here (I.W. Stevens Pine Cove), perhaps that is where they are going?  The island I am currently on is named after that family, I assume.

1205-74F/75F.  Blue sky occasionally now.  Warmed up.  Had a boat lunch.  May go out and do a video now, or perhaps wait a little for the sun to get lower in the west?  Solar 47% (43w)

1325-76F/80F.  Getting quite warm.  Broken clouds.  Solar is 50% (47w).  Sat on the aft deck and answered birthday messages since I had cell coverage.  But they all bounced! Not sure why? (later I figured it out) May nap for a bit.

1424-52% solar.  77F/79F.  I did have a nice nap.  Two fishing boats just parked themselves right out from my boat...why here exactly?!  They caught nothing.

1845-Made BD dinner of grilled chicken, baked beans, salad, hot ciabatta roll, with white wine.  Too hot to sit on aft deck, even now. 81F/80F.  Back to hot temps again!

Went up in the trees and sat in the shade for a while and listened to music and sipped some red wine.  Need to cool off some before I can sleep.  Would have been nice to have that cool weather of the past couple days to load the boat on Tuesday.  I will move to the aft deck once the sun goes behind the trees.  Solar is 58%.

2100-Up late tonight.  Finished the western I was reading. Sat on the aft deck and enjoyed the calm of the evening with partly cloudy skies.  75F/71F.  Solar 58%.  I will listen to my audio book and drift off to sleep.
