1115-Dishes are done.  81F/84F. It is going to be hot today with lots of sun!  May swim at some point but the surface of the water here has a lot of algae.  Not a good spot for swimming late in the season.  To shallow and enclosed to turn over the water.

1215-Solar 55% (87w).  86F/89F. Reading on the hill but came down for something cold to drink.  Beer or wine? I'm not hungry yet.

1335-Had a beer.  89F/92F.  Just snacked, to hot to eat much.  Will wait for dinner.  Water is too dirty to swim and I need to clean up for tomorrow.  I will move down to my old island anchorage after dinner.  Started reading "Snow Falling on Cedars" by David Guterson.  90F/94F!  With this heat napping is not feasible.  I will go up the hill and read in the shade.  With the light breeze coming through it is a lot cooler than the cabin.  Solar is up to 64% at 87w input.

1500-Came down from my perch in the woods to put the dishes away and make dinner.  91F/95F.

1600-Finished dinner, roast port, potatoes, salad, roll, and cold beer.  91F/96F.  Listened to both the handheld VHF's on scan. Nothing, no weather, no calls.  I may have to get a regular VHF with full size antenna.  Very hot!  I won't move to the anchorage until the sun gets close to down. Solar is 70%.  I put some drinks in the fridge so I have plenty of cold drinks for tomorrow when loading.

1834-I moved the boat to the island anchorage I used early in the trip, primarily to swim. (Leg 15, .4 nm)  Drank a bottle of water after anchoring.  89F/88F.  Took in the solar panels to give me less to do tomorrow.  Secured the forward Bimini to also save time.  Went swimming but may jump in one more time to cool off.

1913-As I finished up the evening tasks a T-storm threatened to the north and the wind switched and increased.  No surprise!  I sensed the anchor was dragging so I turned on the depth sounder and fired up the engine.

Legs 15 & 16 - T-storm Excitement!

I began to bear down on a rock wall behind me and was now certain I was dragging but how to pull the anchor while staying off the rocks?  I decided there was no time or room so I simply reversed the engine and dragged the anchor into deeper water hoping it would not catch on something.  Once clear of the rocks I hustled forward, pulled the anchor back on deck, returned to the helm, and powered away.

I returned to boat site I was at before since I would not need to worry about storms in the night!  I did not want to be awake all night worrying about dragging anchor again!  But now I am all sweaty again!  Nothing is easy it seems. (Leg 16. .4 nm)

1930-83F/83F, Solar 72%.  Got the Osmo bow camera set up  for tomorrow which helps me see more of the bow as I approach the dock.  May not use it but will have it ready just in case.  Alarm is set for 5 am.

2000-Time to lay down and listen to my audio book and drift off to sleep.  82F/80F.  Not easy sleeping in this much heat!
